I just added up my American Express, Visa, and Coop debts, and the total is about $3000. (My financial aid checks have not made up for my tuition, let alone my cost of living, so I spent the entire fall term living on cash advances from credit cards.) After I graduate, my student loans should total at least three times that amount.
