This year MIT pulled another screwup - they didn't withhold enough federal
tax. For the sake of amusement, I worked out how much I would have to pay
if I didn't have any bank interest and it came out to $495. That's five
dollars below the penalty limit.
I personally think this is irresponsible if an employer is withholding, then
they should withhold enough.
I guess I'll either file taxes quartely (whatever form your supposed to file if
you expect to pay more than 500), or I'll get married for better deductions.
