hmmm... I guess I'll tackle this one.
Question 3 was a referundum that garnered incredible controversy in
Massachutts. It was probably the biggest issue of the campaign after
everyone's favorite BU president. It promised to roll back taxes to
1988 levels, and promised to drastically chop of enough the state's
budget that there would have been huge cuts in UMASS, local aid,
state funds for hospitals, welfare, aid to the elderly, and many
other necessary domestic programs. It lost (someone correct me) by around 10 points, I think.
