Axeface, I wish you'd fix whatever computer you're logged in from so that it would generate a delete when you hit ^H, rather than generating a ^H. Either that, or use stty to set your erase character to ^H. It's difficult to read your discuss messages in emacs discuss when they are littered with backspaces that don't quite make it because they get saved as ^H characters.
