When the man you've liked for the past two and a half years finally
talks to you (of his own initiative), and you realize you are both
graduating and going different places, so you get up the guts to
call him and he hasn't returned your call yet after 23 hours...
When your parents pressure you into completely different plans after
graduation than your own, claiming that if you go to Paris for an
internship, then that's symbolic of your wanting to run away from
home, so you shouldn't do it, and you give in to them...
When you realize that you feel so isolated from all the groups you've
thought you were tightly affiliated with for the past three years,
and you'll miss your dorm, not the physical place, but the place of
the past four years, and that next year, everyone will be living in
a different place...
When you go to a dinner for your class in your major, and see all
the people who get awards for doing well (including the man you've
liked for the past two and a half years) and you're only getting a
dinner...
That's cause for depression.
