Sure sex is important and sure there's more going on also. You can't ignore either. You can talk about relative importance and how men and woman differ on that (and I think they do), but it's real tough to deal with sex objectively, and I think Ron's point is good ... you're quite likely to fool yourself by ascribing lofty notions to your feelings and that is not a winning way to go.
