A user pointed out that posting news on dialup5 wasn't working
correctly. The trouble started about the same time that
/afs/athena/contrib/sipb/rtbin/inews was last modified (3 days ago).
Here are a pair of postings from dialup3 and dialup5. Dialup3 uses
the NFS filesystem, dialup5 uses the AFS one. Both are RTs. The
symptoms below match what the user described -- the munging of the
"From:" field on dialup5.

This is merely a test, and not to be taken at all seriously -- not even
in the slightest.

Both machines had the same /etc/passwd line for daemon. To further
complicate matters, I posted something from Tisiphone (an RT using the
AFS sipb filesystem), which did work. I don't know news well enough
to look any further.
