"add" is a shell alias. The most likely explanation for receiving the
add: Command not found.
error message is that you've replaced your account's dotfiles with
custom versions that don't define the add alias.
You can retrieve fresh copies of dotfiles from the /usr/prototype_user
directory. If you want to make custom modifications to your account's
dotfiles, Athena recommends that you add these changes to your
.environment or .cshrc.mine files. (Read the document at URL
<http://web.mit.edu/olh/Dotfiles/index.html> for on overview of which
files an Athena unix machine executes for a user as he logs in.)
