Thanks for the bug report; we've know about this for a while,
and decided that with xss now taking over the world and with SIPB
xscreensaver already broken on one supported platform for more than a
year (SGI), it's time to start giving up on it.
I've replaced the /mit/sipb/arch/sun4x_57 -> ../machtype/sun4
symlink with a symlink to ../machtype/sun4x_57, which is a mount point
for a new volume I've created. Currently, the volume only contains a
symlink farm back to machtype/sun4 except for xscreensaver, which is now
a script that echoes a variant of the suggested text Greg sent here a
while ago. I've also updated the Irix script to mention that with the
release of 8.4, the dotfiles will run xss by default. I haven't done
anything for the linux arch subdirs.
I'll take care of creating a volume for the athena cell mirror
of the sipb locker, as well.
