Linux-Athena 8.4 had been having some problem with vim, and the vim
version we had installed (5.3) was getting stale, so I installed vim
5.6 for alpha_dux40, sgi_65, sun4x_56, and i386_linux3. Superficial
tests indicate that it also works correctly under compatibility on
i386_linux22 and sun4x_57. The NetBSD build is sucking, so NetBSD is
currently left with version 5.3
