Hm. This bug lies somewhere between the interaction of tcl/tk and
users' windowmanagers. I don't know how to fix it in exmh, but
it can be worked around:
Click the Preferences button to bring up the preferences window,
Choose the "Slow Display" option,
set "Show color icons" to "never".
I've put a hasty change into exmh which ought to cause this setting
to be locked at "never" for all users all the time. If anyone
figures out how to fix the bug I could unlock the setting.
