We try to use "sipb@mit.edu" for general purpose questions, so I'm
directing this conversation there.
I'm not aware of any non-commercial software to convert LaTeX documents
to MSWord formats. A company called "K-Talk communications" makes
products called "TexPort" and "MathEdit" which purport to help people
translate back and forth between MS Word format documents and LaTeX format
documents.
I know that my advisor bought TexPort, to try to translate another
student's thesis from LaTeX to MS Word. Unfortunately, I think the
results were no better than mediocre. (I did not try to use the software
myself, so I can't provide a more detailed review.)
K-Talk's TexPort web page is at http://www.ktalk.com/texport.html
Sincerely,
