the programme `webster' in the vaxbin is not working for me.
In the future, please try to provide more detail than this. What
word did you try to look up, and did you get a message from the
webster program telling you to contact us, or what? In any case, it
seems to be working now.
Where is the dictionary itself? Can I access it for my own software
directly?
The webster files are in the directory /afs/athena/project/webster.
To read them, you have to run "/afs/athena/service/aklog" first. You
will find some useful information about the format of the dictionary
in the directories /mit/sipbsrc/src/webster/doc and
/mit/sipbsrc/src/webster/dictionary (you have to attach sipbsrc
first). Please note that the files in this directory are NOT freely
redistributable. Please do not copy them or give them to anyone
outside of MIT.
