tgrind dumps core under linux

On a sipb redhat-5.2 athena machine, the following dumps core, after
printing some of the headers, regardless of the .m file I give it.
tgrind -d /mit/consult/lib/matlab/vgrindefs -latex -lmatlab matlab/myode.m
It works fine on solaris. If I don't forget, I'll see if I can debug
it a little further, before giving up, though, but if someone's
familiar with how tgrind's put together, they can probably do it better
than me.
