I've installed slrn version 0.9.5.7 in the sipb locker for the following
platforms: i386_linux2, i386_linux3, i386_nbsd1, sgi_65, sun4x_56.
Aside from various bug fixes over the version currently in the outland
locker (0.9.0.0) it also uses /mit/sipb/share/slrn/nntp_server as the
default server, and posts articles with the email address of the form
'user@mit.edu' rather than 'user@workstation.mit.edu'.
I've also upgraded libslang in the outland locker to 1.3.10, for the
same platforms as above.
I'll probably remove the older version of slrn for the above platforms
from the outland locker in about two weeks, and perhaps move the older
binaries for platforms other than above into the sipb locker as well.
In the process, I've also noticed that there is an 'alpha_dux40' arch
directory present in /afs/sipb.mit.edu/project/sipb/arch, but not in
/afs/athena.mit.edu/contrib/sipb/arch. This might be something worth
fixing at some point.
