jemorris had his screen stuck locked today and I had to log in under
him to kill it for him. It seems the failure mode is widely varied.
Has anyone tried recompiling it? I thought I heard someone had tried
it and it failed, but I don't recall why I thought that and have been
unable to find a source for it.
(Were it to get rebuilt it would be annoying because of the way the
locker is set up without seperate bindirs)
Given the painful failure mode I'm considdering replacing the sgi
directory version of xscreensaver with a script which will check for
6.5 and then either run the real thing or exit with an appropriate
message. I'll probably get to it tomorrow unless someone gives me a
better alternative.
