I think you already got a short reply about this, but to repeat:
Your friend will be able to detach the file from the email
message, and save the file.  Depending on what the file is,
though, she might not be able to view it or print it.

People who don't have the Photoshop program can't do anything
with photoshop files.
MIT's public computers don't have Adobe Photoshop.
Your friend won't be able to read the file.
