The urge to punt real work overcame me this afternoon, so I rewrote
"whats" in perl, making it sort entries and combine annotations.
[For instance,
; whats ibm
IBM - Ingrained Batch Mentality
IBM - International Brotherhood of Magicians
IBM - International Business Machines [Corporate name]
IBM - Itty Bitty Machines
IBM - International Business Machines (manufacturer)
becomes
; whats.pl ibm
IBM - Ingrained Batch Mentality
IBM - International Brotherhood of Magicians
IBM - International Business Machines (manufacturer) [Corporate name]
IBM - Itty Bitty Machines
]
The rewritten version is /mit/amu/scripts/whats.pl; unless somebody
objects in the next few days, I intend to replacs the existing script
in the sipb locker.
