This was forwarded to us because the xscreensaver program is in the
sipb locker.

Due to a change in the location or format (I forget which) of athena's
password files as of 8.2, xscreensaver isn't able to figure out what
your password is to successfully lock the screen.  If you look
carefully it should be prompting you for a password when it locks.
Alternatively you can do "Clear Lock Command" to force it to prompt
you to enter one.  There is also an Xresource for this

xscreensaver*encryptedKey: XXXXXXXX

Look in the manpage for more details.
