I built Vim 5.1 and the latest versions of its associated programs,
ctags, etags, and xxd, and installed them in the sipb locker. Vim 5.1
is known as vim51, everything else by its proper name. Bang on them,
bleed on them, let me know if there are problems. The old versions of
ctags and xxd are called ctags-1.5 and xxd-1.5 if there are problems
with the new ones. If about a week goes by without anything
disastrous happening, I will rename vim51 to simply vim.
/mit/sipb/bin/vim is currently version 4, and /mit/sipb/bin/vim5 is
currently one of the betas of version 5.
Everything is installed for sgi, sun4, linux, netbsd, and decmips.
Everything seems to work except the gui mode under decmips, which I
couldn't get working. Something to do with missing motif includes.
