Hi, SIPB person. I got this address from
http://www.mit.edu/sipb/sipb.html. I work for Student.Net Publishing, a
web publishing company in Cambridge. We are looking for some smart
people to hire. Do you folks operate a mailinglist or anything for job
offers that I could post something to? If not, could you circulate this
message to SIPB members or relevant undergrads looking for (summer or
term-time) internships or after-graduation full-time jobs? I've appended
the job description below, see also
http://www.student.com/contribute/tech.phtml for info.

Let me know if there is a more appropriate place for me to send this.
Thanks.

 CTO / Student.Net Publishing

-----
Student.Net Publishing, producer of Student.Com and TVGrid.Com, is
always looking for talented technical individuals. Current openings are:

* Content Engineer

Content Engineers create both interactive content for the company's
websites and advanced production tools for in-house use. Qualified
candidates are fluent in Perl 5, CGI, and web-related technologies like
cookies; can meet deadlines, and have no trouble communicating
effectively with non-technical people. Knowledge of SQL, mySQL, PHP,
Apache, and mod_perl is a bonus.

* Systems Engineer

Systems Engineers manage Student.Net's servers and network while
planning for growth and expansion. Qualified candidates are steeped in
Linux and TCP/IP; have read RFCs 1945 and 2068 at least once, and have
no trouble communicating effectively with non-technical people.
Knowledge of Apache and the ability to interpret vmstat output without a
man page handy is a plus.

Positions are available for full-time employees or term-time interns. In
addition to building cutting-edge technology, perks include very
flexible work hours, competitive pay, a convenient office location a
block from the Lechmere T (or a ten-minute walk from Kendall), and free
snacks.

Send resumes and URLs of existing work to jobs@student.net.
