I'd like to suggest that the default postscript view launched
by Netscape and friends be changed from ghostview to gv.
(gv is currently located in the sipb locker).
There are a number of reasons why this makes sense:
* gv has a nicer user interface
* The gv file dialog box doesn't have the poor interaction
with AFS that ghostview's dialog box has. (This is a regular
source of user questions for both sipb and olc).
* ghostview has problems viewing postscript exported by
Microsoft Word 95. Unfortunately, a number of classes
publish handouts on the web by putting up postscript
generated this way. gv doesn't have this problem, so switching
to it would make it easier for users to read online handouts.
I'm sure there are some more reasons, but I'm failing to think
of them right now.
