The first thing I'd suggest is to choose "Rescan" from the folder
list's "More..." menu. If that doesn't make messages visible, try
typing
scan +inbox
at the athena% prompt, to see if there are any messages in your
inbox. (Note that scanning takes 5-10 seconds for each hundred
messages you have.)
