I personally had no troubles with it; I primarily use it under Linux,
though.  The version in the audio locker is a version out of date, doesn't
use remote databases, and won't let me change CDs without leaving xmcd.

I've sent multiple messages in the past to bug-audio, the most recent
being today.  I've never received a response before; maybe today's
mail will be different but I doubt it.  The audio locker seems to
exist solely to trick people into thinking there's a place to find 
supported audio tools on Athena.
