Can we make the type-symlink go away?

In the sipb locker, type is a symlink to 'desupported.sh'. I'm told
that this was originially a typing tutor program, but most new users
think 'type' is how to view a file. (Thanks, DOS.) This leads to the
confusion that we saw earlier today.
Any good reason to keep this symlink around?
