When I run exmh on the SGI's, my console is flooded with the following
messages:
13:56 BgRegister X server insecure (must use xauth-style authorization);
command ignored
13:57 BgRegister X server insecure (must use xauth-style authorization);
command ignored
13:57 BgRegister X server insecure (must use xauth-style authorization);
command ignored
13:57 exmh-bg cannot rendez-vous with UI - exiting.
13:57 Usually this is because Tk send is not working.
13:57 Check the notes under Frequently Asked Questions #4a and #4b.
13:57 You can find this under the Help menu.
These happen all the time, as long as exmh is running, and not just when I'm
performing commands. Despite all this, the program functions will no apparent
problems. Also, I DON'T get these messages when running on the Sun's.
I bugged OLC and they're working on an answer. According to the exmh help
FAQ, the program requires TK 3.3 or newer and Xserver started with -auth
option. OLC says both of these conditions are true on athena.
They suggested I contact you as well.
Any ideas?
