Given that Idraw is only available for Ultrix and AIX (and not for
Suns or SGI's), it should probably be removed from the Dash menu
unless someone plans to start maintaining (and porting) it again.
Tgif should be supported to the same level as most of the
other software in the SIPB locker. We will install author
supplied bug fixes when available and will forward on
or attempt to fix any bug reports. We'll also attempt to
answer any questions about using Tgif. (At some point
we should probably write a documentation handout, although
this is not planned yet and may not happen).
Tgif has been fairly widely used for a few years now so there
are quite a few people who can answer questions about it.
Tgif is currently available and installed for all supported
platforms:
IRIX (SGI's)
Solaris (Sun's)
Linux
NetBSD
AIX (RS6000's)
Ultrix (DEC's)
HP/UX (HP's)
It will be installed for any new platforms as they become available.
If you add it, you should probably update the Xfig blurb appropriately.
Note that the propagation of Tgif into the Athena cell copy
of the SIPB locker failed last night so you'll have to make
sure you have the sipb cell copy of the sipb locker attached
if "add sipb; /mit/sipb/arch/@sys/bin/tgif" fails.
