This probably isn't easily fixable or worth the effort, but here it is:
whatever code scans text to find URLs for highlighting and automatic
linking, doesn't quite work.
One understandable problem is that it has trouble with following
punctuation so that, for example, a URL enclosed in parentheses picks
up the closing parenthesis. This probably is unavoidable, since I guess
the parenthesis might well be in a valid URL (or maybe not -- I don't
know what is allowed).
A less understandable problem is that the code apparently will only
recognize one URL per line. You can see this, if you're using exmh to
read this message, in my .signature file, below. There are spaces
between the two URLs on the url: line; I haven't experimented with tabs.
