I was telneting from public cluster to our group workstation weldlab yesterday
afternoon. Because our workstation was ocupied by the Superuser. We both have
projects to hand in at the end of this month. My program usually takes 8 hours
to get a result. This was why I locked the screen. I did went to the cluster to
check the result. And it was weekend. That workstation I used was free!
Why you logout me and put this kind of stupid sentence on my screen? It will
take me another 8 hours to recalculate!
Our group seldom uses piublic cluster. You even try to put the stupid sentence
on our dombay workstation. We paid for the PC, MAC hooking up with athena. But
you never fixed them up. Our system admistrator was fixing them this yesterday
afternoon. That was why I had no terminal to run my program.
Hopefuly, you guys understand not only you use computer to do serious jobs.
You killed my program which was running on weldlab@mit.edu through telneting
from a public cluster when it was free during the spring break weekend.
I sincerely hope you guys do a good job at MIT not like this.
