The printers are not informing you when they have problems (for instance
are out of paper.) Also lpq -Pprinter indicates that printer is up and
running when it is not (for instance a paper jam). This causes big
queue backlogs, (especially if someone if printing all of the unix/linux
manuals on both of the cluster machines, went through something like 5
reams of paper, and then left half of it in the printer, grrrr)
