you break something in a not very wise way,
and then blame SIPB? that's not nice..
the last line in you .environment says:
setenv XMCD_LIBDIR /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xmcd
this is silly, but because the consult script decides to ignore
your environment variable, it works for you..
the brokeness is in your setting and in the consult script,
not with the sipb program...
