I wasn't aware that the newsgroup bit.listserv.carr-l existed, and I
haven't been able to find any Usenet site that carries it. Do you know
of one? Also, I didn't see it in ftp://ftp.american.edu/pub/netnews/.
Presumably you could subscribe to the CARR-L mailing list by sending to
listserv@ulkyvm.louisville.edu
with the message body

I've Cc'd this to the bit hierarchy maintainer and the list owners, in
case they can help with any information about locating the newsgroup.
