okay, it appears rs6K manpages are even harder to read, so
I went and looked at what catman did, and found out that on
an rs6k, you should just
/usr/lib/makewhatis [path]
(the catman will generate a whatis for your entire MANPATH!!)
(the solaris one is still correct though)
