Hi,
I'm having a strange problem telnetting from home in CA, on an HPUX system.
If I'm running sipb tcsh (as is my default), my telnet session dies (i.e.,
"Connection closed by foreign host") if I'm at the athena% prompt and I
hit Ctrl-c. I'd think this were a problem with the host I'm dialing up
from, except that:
1) Ctrl-c works as expected in emacs. So I don't think the HP system is
somehow capturing the Ctrl key sequence.
2) If I run /bin/csh, I don't experience this problem. However, if I run
sipb tcsh (i.e., on top of my startup shell), hitting Ctrl-c exits me out
of the entire telnet session (*not* just out of the shell!)
I'm confused. Any ideas?
thanks,
Eric
