Hmm... I can see where that would be annoying. The reson that it's
different on the SGI is that the SGI is running the most recent
version of xrn by default (available on all platforms as xrn-new).
That means that eventaully we'll be upgrading everything to a version
with this behavior. I'll take a look at it and see if there's
something that we can do, and then get back to you.
