Apparently, I installed Pnews in /mit/sipb/linuxbin a fairly long time ago:
/mit/sipb/linuxbin% ls -l Pnews
-rwxr-xr-x 1 svalente root 11911 Jan 8 1994 Pnews
Today, I tried to post a message to a newsgroup almost, but not quite,
as silly as alt.cows.moo.moo.moo, and found out that the Pnews script
is misconfigured. This seems to be the offending line:
/mit/sipb/linuxbin% grep inews Pnews
inews=/tmp/inews
Apparently, posting news from Linux has never worked, and nobody
noticed or cared to mention it to us. Well, now I've noticed.
Somebody with clue should re-configure and install Pnews and related
programs for Linux in the sipb locker.
