Actually, last I checked, you can use the SIPB WWW server for image
maps (assuming all you want to do is select from a list of URLs based
on where you clicked in the image map) using a configuration file
which is read by a CGI script on the server.  Unfortunately, I was
unable to find any instructions on this from the SIPB WWW page, so
you'll probably need to send mail to webmaster@mit.edu asking them how
to do this.
