just to give some more information...
We started doing this at one point, but it wasn't done correctly, so
you get things like this:
'/afs/athena/contrib/sipb/sun4bin' is a mount point for volume '%sipb.mit.edu:project.sipb.sun'
Note that this is, umm, ``purty durned useless''.
