I have found that when i run xscreensaver and the time elapsed is <1 minute
it takes a long time (~30 seconds) for the screen to come back.
i have had this problem when it is locked, as well as blanked.
Vhy does this happen?
it is rather annoying to not be able to get right back to my work after coming back
to the workstation.
