Bug:
If you have xscreensaver exec zaway, the zaway process becomes defunct
rather than going away, or at least, it seems that overnight, I end up
having lots of defunct processes whose parent is xscreensaver (and the
only thing it can be is zaway).
You may want to check the SIGCHLD handling...
