At the meeting, I said (something like):
yandros: sipb locker is hosed - if you maintain
something mail me
Here's `The Rest Of The Story':
; fs lq /afs/athena/contrib/sipb /afs/sipb/project/sipb
Volume Name Quota Used % Used Partition
contrib.sipb.readonly 120000 113764 95%<< 80% <<WARNING
project.sipb.readonly 160000 156718 98%<< 93% <<WARNING
project.sipb.sun.readonly 50000 14731 29% 95%
project.sipb-linux 30000 4285 14% 86%
project.sipb-netbsd 30000 6077 20% 95%
project.xfonts 75000 58383 78% 91%
The sipb cell copy of the sipb locker is something of a mess. I'm
going to be cleaning it up RSN. This will involve getting rid of or
perhaps gzexe'ing some older cruft, such as nextetc, some RT binaries,
tex stuff, and /mit/sipb/cat, cleaning up the way binary volumes are
dealt with, possibly rearranging some directory structure, and
updating the .rconf file and the athena cell volume quotas to get `the
right things' replicated.
Two things that I am particularly interested in seeing opinions on
are:
o how `supported' should we keep the RT? There are currently some
known-broken RT binaries installed, and there are questions as to
wether or not we might want to gzexe or rm some of the less-used
stuff.
o tex stuff; what should be where, and what should be copied into
the athena cell?
comments, please.
