Possible Mosaic 2.4 bug

I'm using Mosaic 2.4 on an Athena DECstation 5000/25, running release
7.7, just in case that matters.

I've been writing some HTML files for the "ct" locker, and experimenting
with creating .mime.types and .mailcap files to automatically launch
the cT executor program (basically, a viewer for cT files). I found
an interesting behaviour which I think is a bug in Mosaic.

When I write an HTML file containing a URL naming a file locally,
ie: using "file://localhost/..." and click on it in Mosaic, then
the my chosen external viewer starts up. When I use a URL like
"http://web.mit.edu/..." and click on it in Mosaic, then Mosaic
tries to *download* the file without passing it to the external
viewer. If I use a relative URL, like "foo.ctb" (where ".ctb" is
the extension named in .mime.types), then if I open the HTML
file locally and click on that link, I get the external viewer.
If I open the file through the web.mit.edu server and click on
the link, then again Mosaic tries to simply download the file.

Here is my .mime.types:
application/x-ct ctb

Here is my .mailcap:
application/x-ct; attach ct\; /mit/ct/`machtype`bin/cTx %s \; sleep 60

The HTML document with links like I've mentioned is
in the ct locker, /mit/ct/www/mosaic.html.old.

(And no, it didn't make any difference if the file was called
mosaic.html or mosaic.html.old. The difference between the
two files is that in mosaic.html I've removed the link that
wasn't working properly, so users wouldn't notice the problem
until I'd had the opportunity to figure out how to fix it).

Note that presently you must test this on a DECstation, since the
sample.ctb file is in a binary format that is platform dependent (ie:
at the moment I'm only providing access to the DECstation version of
that document).
