The server archie.rutgers.edu seems to be answering requests now, but the
default configured in /mit/sipb/lib/perl/archie.depend (archie.sura.net)
hasn't worked in a while for me. I should point out that archie.sura.net is
the default host configured for the C archie client, which means it may
just be hosed. Another option is archie.unl.edu, which seems to have a
decent connection, even though we get there through the t3.

Hi. I've been told that the protocol has not changed, and can't really
figure out what is wrong. Unfortunately, since xarchie2 is not
yet tested software (and people have already had some problems with it),
I can't move it into sipb and overwrite xarchie.
If you manage to find out what is going on (or possibly give
a more detailed report), I will do my best to trace the problem.
