Newer versions of the xyzmodem software that we have are not public
domain; they are shareware. Someone (I forget the name) who worked on
the sipb locker before I started once told me that the shareware deal
would have been particularly expensive for us to try and buy, and it
wasn't worth it. It's possible that the situation has changed, and
that it would be worthwhile to look into the new software; however, I
have never (to the best of my memmory) done a zmodem or ymodem
transfer of any kind, and the xmodem transfers I recall doing involved
a Compaq 386 and a GESPAC microcontroller, so I will ask for someone
else to look into the software.
