All athena workstations (DECstation, RS/6000, SPARC) support the DPS
extension in the X server. They also have PS viewing programs which
use the extension. gs shouldn't be necessary.
They all support some kind of display postscript; they also don't all
use the same extension (Xnews) and that will be changing to
who-knows-what with Solaris 2.3 and No More OpenLook in 7.7. Also,
the ps viewer on the sun is unfriendly except under ol[v]wm, and the
ps viewer on the RS/6k is useless; if it runs at all it clears the
screen whenever it gets a showpage. That is all aside from the
consistent-UI issue, (which isn't a big deal IMHO).
