Well, I moved the script to /mit/sipb/common/bin and made the symlinks
point there instead. (It will exist that way when the volume is
released.)

Appearances can be decieving. That is, the script looks for some
weird binary-ish file in /mit/sipb/`machtype`lib. I don't know what
this file is or does, but I assume it has to be built from the stuff
in /mit/sipb/src/src/tgrind. If nobody else wants to try to install
this, I'll do so the next time I log into a Sun. (However, I'd rather
log into an RT... or a dialup from a Macintosh... or a C64... then a
Sun, so this might not happen very soon.)

Have a nice day.
