We've noticed this bug in the SIPB office sun, too. I suspect that
it's a problem with getpwent() (or whatever the solaris equivalent)
under the solaris shadow password system, since the shadow password
file seems to be corrupted quite often and contain multiple entires
per user. I'd been meaning to check this out with Athena staff but
had forgotten; thanks for reminding me!
