It's not supposed to rhyme.  The joke is the trick ending.  You're
supposed to assume the quote will end "...and so are you."  But
instead, it ends "am I."  After a second of thought, the reader
realizes that the schizophreniac changed personalities around the
comma, and the reader cracks up laughing so hard that he falls off his
chair.
