The bwrite command can only be used to communicate with hosts connected
to the BITNET network. Babson has left BITNET as of the beginning of
March. The same system is now connected to the Internet, with the host
name vaxvms.babson.edu. Depending on how they have configured their
Internet software, it may be possible to use the standard UNIX talk
command, e.g.,
talk obrient@vaxvms.babson.edu
It's very unusual for a site to rejoin BITNET (usually the decision to
leave is based on saving money, and because there aren't many features
that aren't also available on the Internet), so I would expect that
the "bwrite username@babson" command will not ever work again...
