The man page for xscreensaver says this about bitmaps:
-b (icon.bitmap, float.bitmap)
The -b option allows the user to specify the bitmap
that will be used both for the xscreensaver command
icon and for the bouncing icon. The X resource
icon.bitmap specifies the command icon bitmap, while
float.bitmap specifies the bouncing icon bitmap.
I find that if I specify icon.bitmap in my .Xresources, xscreensaver
also takes this bitmap for the floating bitmap, rather than taking the
default bitmap for the floating bitmap.
This behavior is NOT described in the man page.
